Home Staging Redesign Resources

There are a great deal of home staging redesign resources that can help you present your home in the best possible light. You should know that possible buyers get their first impression when they first see the home's exterior, and their opinion about the interior develops within 10 seconds or so. These impressions are important so you want them to be good. When a good impression is made a buyer will be more eager to make an offer, or even enter into a bidding war for the home.

If you are thinking about selling your home or are already working with a Realtor, you may want to ask about home staging. If it is in your price range, you can hire a staging professional to examine the exterior and interior of your home and tell you what needs to be done to make it presentable to buyers. This may mean fixing the landscaping, fresh paint on the walls or even changes in the furniture. A palette of neutral shades with the occasional pop of color is the preferred scheme.

The reason for this is because on a neutral palette, a homebuyer can imagine in their mind where their possessions could go, how they would like to decorate the room. The home is a canvas on which they can create their dreams. This also means homesellers should take down family photos, collections, toiletries, clothing and other items that suggest someone lives in the home, even if they do. Your home should resemble a real estate show home devoid of residents. While this is inconvenient if you are still living in the home, it may make or break a sale.

There are many home staging redesign resources on the Internet today. And, you can find a wealth of book titles devoted to the business of home staging. A few titles you may want to consider include The Complete Idiot's Guide to Staging your Home to Sell by Julie Dana and Marcia Layton Turner, Home Staging: The Winning Way to Sell Your House for More Money by Barb Schwarz and Staged to Sell (or Keep): Easy Ways to Improve the Value of Your Home (Interior Design) by Jean Nayar and PointClickHome. These books and others like them can teach you the basics and beyond of home staging and redesign.
